“There’s a rainbow gathering happening next week here in Arizona.”
As soon as I heard it, I knew the prophecies this movement was apart of - I remember being at the gatherings as a visceral lived experience yet I hadn’t actually heard of it yet in this lifetime.
All speaking of a time when True Love is upon the Earth. The Truth of Love which is God and our interconnected Holy Spirit.
The eagle and condor flying together….the white and the black creating the entire spectrum of rainbow color we see here…the marriage of Christ and the church through God…the mind and the heart unifying to serve the soul…humans coming together as a body of light - a crystalline structure - Jesus Christ.
I knew I had to check it out. There has been a palpable energy that has been present where I have witnessed the eagle and the condor flying together both within my own self and outside of myself. My own heart and body working together with my mind to serve. A time in space where science and spirituality are meeting together and recognizing the One. Stay with me here 🙏🏻😌
In my own personal journey during the beginning of 2025, we had a couple weeks left for my time in Phoenix as I had ended my lease with the intention of exploring communities and sustainable ways of living. (And, yes, there are many more sustainable ways of living than a house in the middle of Phoenix, AZ) My mind wasn’t sure how I would find these communities so I tossed up my hands and said “God’s Plan”.
By the end of February, a “Welcome Home” sign greeted me on the way inside the rainbow gathering in the Tonto. Echoes of “we loooove you” trailed along to a camping spot. During the following days, I soaked in the nature, creek, and the continuous stream of drumming, dancing, and singing. The nightly family meal warmed my heart as we gathered in a circle and OMed together around the big heart fire and food. As with all rainbow gatherings, there were multiple kitchens that provided the food.
One day as I wandered around the trails, I came upon a camp with several people hanging out and playing music called The Jammin’ Fruit Stand.
I stopped and hung out, played music, and helped chop vegetables for the meal that night. This is where I learned the term “plugging in” - helping where help is needed.
During the chopping, I was excited to learn the kitchen uses quality oils (avocado, coconut, peanut) and lots of fruits and veg. I also learned there would be a tree planting happening on the Lakota Reservation in South Dakota in May. There was a deep feeling of it being an important part of the journey. Shoutout to Alex, Tal, and all those at Jammin Fruit Stand.
A couple days later, I hosted a “flowga” workshop at the Jammin Fruit Stand kitchen. Everyone was invited to be in whatever flow they wanted - me leading yoga, music, painting, writing. We all flowed. As I colored with a couple people, I met a man filled with light & God’s love - Trey Stardust. Our first conversation was about a community out in Tennessee with orchards of fruit and nut trees, kitchens, families, and community projects - The Garden...it was resonating very deeply and I could feel it went beyond what I thought was possible with intentional communities. Our next conversation was about marriage and how the masculine and feminine are both honored. Then I read him a children’s book I had written called “Plato’s Play-Dough”. Right when it was finished, a little boy came up and asked if he could trade us something for a star he had made out of the Earth’s clay 🤯🥰
That night was spent drumming and dancing around the heart fire until the early morning. As I went to go to bed, I gave everyone a hug. Trey and I hugged inside the heart of the heart fire ring for 1-2 hours. (Shoutout to our brother, Raven, who held a drum beat and kept the fire going for all of that) I could feel and see lifetimes we had spent together and a deep recognition of us….the answer to a prayer when I asked God to send me the man he made for me. Eventually we laid down in the heart while the sun rose and we could see the moon and sun at the same time with a rainbow of color in between. God is an extraordinary writer of this story.
Trey and I continued to help out in the kitchens, drum, play guitar, dance, and sing and shared stories through the gathering. I was filled with so much love and appreciation of brothers and sisters and their stories. The Rainbow Family of Living Light is truly felt and a welcome home to Truth within us. My perspective of reality and living life expanded greatly meeting rainbow family that had spent 7 years of their life hitchhiking and following the opportunities that came up along the way….family that lived on the “rainbow road” full time and went to the gatherings across the country….family that spent their time providing food for the gatherings…family that lived on community land together. At Lovin Ovens kitchen I was getting to eat home made pizza and apple hand pies made in a freshly made clay oven out in the middle of the woods while listening to stories around the campfire. And the vibes continued over with The Beaver Stew kitchen crew. Shoutout to all the wonderful family that make it possible to have these experiences together 🥰
After about a week, Trey and I decided to drive in to Phoenix to check in on my roommate and go on our “first date” - dumpster diving.
We spent the morning using the Falling Fruit app to fill boxes full of oranges, grapefruits, pomelos, and lemons. And the afternoon looking upon the vast amounts of good food that gets thrown away every day. 30-40% of the entire US food supply is thrown away, often into a lanrdfill.
Needless to say, we filled the entire back of my car with fresh fruits and vegetables and around 100 jars of organic coconut oil with the packaging still on it and expiring the following year. I was so shocked to witness the waste that happens every day. The rainbow family & kitchens were grateful for the gifts we brought back. And I was glad that an entire car packed full of food would be eaten and enjoyed rather than rotting and adding more carbon dioxide to the atmosphere in a landfill.
As the gathering ended and we cleaned up, I went back into Phoenix to have a final gathering at the home and pack my things to head East. I had wanted to do van life or something similar for awhile but I thought I needed a really good vehicle + AAA + $$. And here I was leaving in a crossover vehicle and $200 in my bank account and my most valuable support : Faith.
Trey and I met up in Silver City, New Mexico where his Jeep made it before needing some work done on it. He worked on it and I was amazed to see the amount of people who stopped to see if we needed anything or even brought us warm food. Praise God 🙏🏻
Eventually after a week of fixing one thing and it leading to another issue, Trey came upon an issue he couldn’t fix with the tools we had on the side of the road so he said let’s call a tow company. While I’m about to tell the tow company on the phone the address of where we are, a car pulls up and asks if we need anything. I tell the tow company that we’ll call them back if we need them. When I get out of the car, I hear the man who stopped saying they live a couple miles down the road and they have several friends in the area who can help us fix it. So we are towed and welcomed into a home by a sweet family with many dogs/puppies that we get to hang out with (and we decide to bring a puppy, Wolfie with us out East) God bless Eric, Wendy, and Lars ❤️
I’ll continue to share more about the incredible journey that we have been on for the past year and a half.
